How to create desktop shortcuts for common Google apps/services:

Summary

1) Open Google Chrome (if it's not on the desktop, then look in the start menu)

2) Click Apps (Top, Left next to Bookmarks)

3) Right-Click the Gmail App/Icon

4) From the pop-out menu, Select "Create Shortcuts"

Tip: You can also choose to have it "Open as a Window"

5) Choose your shortcut location option(s) and click "Create"
